Energizer Wii Rechargeable Batteries
Where can I get a good deal on rechargeable batteries?
I have 4 Wii controllers and it’s starting to get a little expensive buying AA batteries all the time. Does anybody know of somewhere offering a good deal right now on Energizer/Duracell (or batteries of a similar high quality) rechargeables? I need 8 if possible? Thanks!
All Battery . com has the best batteries, at the lowest prices, IMO.
Right now they have a special on AAs 24X 2600maH NiMH $29.99. They have lots of other specials too.
They have all kinds and sizes of batteries (including Lithium re-chargeables), chargers, packages, etc. They also have special purpose batteries like for RC, power tools, airsoft & paintball guns, camcorders, cameras, laptops, etc.
I have been buying from them for several years (hundreds of batts) and although there has been a couple of problems (sent me non-rechargeable lithiums in a package deal, one “C” cell was bad, and a multi-purpose charger went bad – haven’t told them about that one yet) they’ve taken care of what I’ve told them about – no questions – no charges. They are also quick on the shipping.
Edit: The AAs above (all weekly specials) have free shipping. They also have a no questions/no charges (including return shipping – you do have to pay the shipping to send the items back) 30 day guarantee on everything.
NiMH are far superior to NiCad in all ways, they will endure more re-charging cycles before wearing out, they will hold a charge longer (longer shelf-life), and the charge will last longer before the battery needs to be re-charged. Although they have a slightly higher initial cost, NiMHs are actually cheaper in the long run than NiCads – same for Lithiums over NiMHs. While NiMHs are very satisfactory for most uses, NiCads are not, Lithiums are only really needed for extreme use and/or long term storage. I use Lithium for my camera because sometimes (Christmas) I will wind up taking a lot of pics but then the camera sits there for a while (next Christmas?) before being used again. Using Lithiums insures that when I go to take a pic, I will be able to do so. Other than that I mostly use NiMH – never NiCads!
