Flash Wii Console
My wii console flashes yellow and red when I press the power button, any suggestions ?
I had my wii working just the other day and now when I try to turn it on it flashes red and the yellow where the power button is. and where the disk goes..it flashes blue. I have tried taking the cords out for a certain amount of time and it still won’t work- as well as taking it to the place we got it and they said to see if any other people on the internet know any solutions. and if not that nintendo.
we also have the disk in there as well.
Anyone know how to help ?

You have Wiiconnect24 turned on. It can be turned off in the Wii menu. Wiiconnect24 keeps your Wii hooked to the internet looking for updates even when the system is off so it may seem like the system is on.
Green light – system on
Red light – system off
Yellow(light green) light – System off, Wiiconnect24 on
The flashing blue is telling you that you have mail. Check the envelope in the bottom right corner of the menu screen. It’s an email about the 4.1 update, everyone that has their Wii hooked to the internet got that email yesterday.
