I have playstation 3 controller for about 4 months now and I still can’t figure out a way to hold the controller without suffering from immense hand pain. It’s obvious that the controller wasn’t even designed with American gamers in mind.
Sony, take a look at what your other competitors are doing with their controllers. The wii controller is quite innovative and comfortable and the xbox 360′s controller is quite accurate and also very comfortable to hold for hours. Sony continues to only cater to the Japanese/Asian market and it shows in this grotesque 15 year old design.
The same damn controller for your last 3 consoles is a disgrace. Yes, the playstation 3 controller looks good, has rumble, and is wireless, but that’s all it has going for it these days. My advice to Sony would be to just make a slightly bulkier controller (think the Logitech ps2) and fix the damn L2/R2 “triggers” so they aren’t so slippery.
I still gave the playstation 3 controller four stars because it does what it advertises, but Sony should stop marketing their products towards only the Japanese markets and design a controller that is comfortable for all gamers of all ages.

Just think how much fun these things could be if they really emitted a low voltage “attention getter” when the bad guys nailed you. Actually, it’s always more fun sniping when you can have a spotter. Our PS3 only came with one controller. Now the wife can get in on all the fun too. The rumble feature is always a nice eye-opener just about the time you approach comatose level. Great product … greater price!

Playstation 3 Controller – Shocking!
The playstation 3 controller fits great in most peoples hands. I have large hands and its a very snug fit for me. Not too small and not to large and bulky.
The weight is pretty light as well. After hours and hours of using it, I do not feel worn out from just holding the thing like some controllers do.
The rumble part is very nice and not too intrusive. In my opinion it adds to the feel of the games and when using a controller without it, it is just not the same experience.
The buttons are well laid out but thats pretty standard stuff. The L2 & R2 buttons extend out a little too far though and sometimes I hit them by accident.
Being wireless really rocks here too. I can go anywhere in the room and still get a solid signal.
I see a lot of offers out there for a Blu Ray remote but with these, who really needs that remote? Save yourself some money and stick with this playstation 3 controller!
The battery pack does a decent job and its wonderfull that you can just recharge them instead of needing batteries.
Overall this is an awesome product. I am very happy with it and my PS3.
