Is it safe to update my wii to the new firmware 4.1 if you have the homebrew channel?

I dont have my wii number but i just updated to sytem menu 4.1 everything works fine hbc and backups channels works fine so does usb loader i have ios 249 with preloader and bootmii as an ios
