Wii 1080p Upscale
What’s a good AV Receiver with HDMI and 1080p video upscaling?
I bought a new 52″ Samsung 1080P HDTV.
I’m looking to add an AV Receiver for surround sound for all my components and would like to use the receiver to process the audio & video from all my components (blu-ray player, cable box, media extender, PS3, & Wii)
I need 3 HDMI Inputs and 2 Component Inputs on the receiver and would like to only have to run 1 HDMI out to the TV due to wall mount wiring restrictions. So, basically I need a unit that will accept all my connections and upscale the video to produce only one HDMI output and handle all the audio through the surround sound speakers.
I can find units that have all my inputs, but need to run HDMI & composite outputs, or units that only have one HDMI input and no compositive inputs… I can’t find one with 3 HDMI inputs that also supports video upscaling to 1080P.
Does this product exist???
I have the Onkyo TX-SR606. It has 4 HDMI in and one HDMI out so it does what you’re looking for. The older 605 had 3 HDMI in. The new 607 has six in. Yamaha and Denon will have models that fit the bill too.
