Project Natal for Xbox 360
What is Project Natal I say it’s something you never had seen before. It is new motion control technology for Xbox 360 game console. Project Natal uses no handheld controller and it has no wires. Basically this motion controller is a camera that uses movement, object and voice recognition to give a new kind of gaming experience to player.
Project Natal motion sensor
It may look something like Nintendo Wii, but actually Project Natal is something completely different. As Microsoft told at their 2009 E3 press conference, Project Natal is special sensor and camera montage that can recognize all your body movements, voice and even objects in your living room. The best thing about Project Natal is that you don’t need a buy new game console. You will be able to add this motion sensing system to your Xbox 360 game console.
Main idea is that special high technology sensors recognize your body and its movements in 3d space. It was shown in 2009 E3 press conference. Microsoft showed game demo, where player needs to hit balls that flying opposite on player. In this game player was able to move left and right, go forward and step back and motion sensors in camera recognize all these movements and show it in game. I think it is big step in game development. But I only can not imagine, how you can play first person shooter games with this technology, because in these kind of games you need move around a lot, but if you play in front of TV at your living room, then there is limited moving area. But lets hope Microsoft was think about that. Otherwise, I think this new control system is just amazing
