What Is A Hdmi Cable?

It is used to connect the digital input sources to digital receivers, televisions or computer monitors. It is also considered as a replacement for video and sound analog cables. An HDMI cable can support any PC or TV video format, from high definition to standard. These cables are being used to connect your Blu-Ray DVD players, Wii, XBOX and your play station for the best picture quality.

There are two different kinds of high definition multimedia interface( HDMI) cables available in the market. They are known as category one and category two. Category one HDMI cables are capable for transmitting 720p or 1080i video and audio signals. And the category two cables are also known as the high speed HDMI cables. They are capable of carrying 1080i, 720p and 1600p video and audio signals. They are also guaranteed to perform with the length more than 4.8 meters (16feet). While choosing an HDMI cable, the length of the cable is often an important consideration. The signals  will become weak and the images on the screen will start blinking if the cable is too long. However, this problem can be resolved with the help of repeaters, equalizers or the HDMI extenders. All these devices are used to connect the HDMI cables with each other. With these, the length of the HDMI cable can be extended without loosing the signal. If an HDMI extender based on the optical fiber is used, the length of the cable can possibly be increased by 100 meters( 328 feet).i.e. www.audiovideoking.com
