Wii Hdmi Output

December 22, 2008 By: admin Category: Wii Console & Video Game Tips

How would I connect my Nintendo Wii to my monitor which has HDMI, VGA, and DVI outputs?

I’ve looked around on the web but it REALLY confuses me because most people don’t have all 3 outputs therefore I couldn’t really find the answer I needed. How would I connect it to my FHX2300 Gateway monitor? Which way would have me spend less money and have less cords to deal with? I would prefer just one cable if possible as long as it’s easy and I could play the Wii on my monitor. Thanks!
So, something like this wouldn’t work then?

My bad, forget the link above. This should work right?

No, that won’t really work. The Wii doesn’t support the same resolutions as that device produces.

Instead, you need a Video to VGA converter.
Amazon has some:

I have this model:

It works pretty good. Everything you need comes in the box. Easy to setup, easy to use.
