Wii Hdtv Connection
Is the ‘next-gen’ worth the money without HDTV?
I have close to 200 of the best games for the last generation (if you count Dreamcast in with PS2 Xbox and Gamecube) and am used to having decent graphics in games and full screen 60hz (unlike those people who only experienced PS2 last gen)
Upgrading to the current gen of 360, PS3 and Wii will only give me a slight (with Wii, non-existent) jump in the quality of the graphics i am used to, only in the actual clarity if i use HDTV with HDMI connections, but the problem is i don’t have a HDTV so there doesn’t seem a point to it all.
Don’t get me wrong though, the second i get a new telly i start saving for my 360 elite, but what’s everyone’s view on pre HDTV next gen gaming…
Graphics are 2nd to the quality of games for me, and all of the next gen systems have decent games unique to their platforms. I’ve seen the 360 on both HD and nonHD and there is a pretty big difference in quality, but it didn’t detract from the games to have slightly lower quality graphics.
