Wii Internet Connection Cost
Internet on Wii?
I just got a Wii and was wondering if connecting it to the wireless Internet in my house would interfere with other things connected to the Internet. We have a computer and now 2 laptops on the same router. My parents are kind of uneasy about letting me hook it up to the Internet, because they’re afraid the something might happen with the Internet connection to the new laptop. And I’ve also heard conflicting reports: is the Internet free on the Wii or does it cost $5?

well, the Wi-Fi is free. Just make it connect and work along with your router, you have to have wireless. This allows you to play games against other players, games such as: Medal of Honor, Mario Strikers Charged, Pokemon Battle Revolution.
as for the 5 dollar internet, that’s called the Internet Channel. That’s where you can surf the web on the wii. For that, either make a wiishopping account and pay 5 dollars, or buy a wii points card at a best buy or other store for 20 dollars. you get 2000 points per card.
the wi-fi connection will not affect the computers and/or laptops. My house has 2 computers, 3 laptops and the wii all connected to the internet. They all run off of 1 main computer with the main internet and the rest are connected by router.
