Do you need the Wii Balance Board for Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics?
… or can you manage without it and just use the Wiimote and Nunchuck?
We don’t have a balance board but my kid really wants Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics for Christmas.

It is not completely necessary, it’s only optional for a few events. As far as I know, you can play the entire game without it, because I think it uses Wiimote and nunchuck alternative controls.
