what should i get a wii, playstation 3 or an xbox 360 and why?

I want to buy the playstation 3 for graphics and new game releases, but several days ago I play baseball in the wii and I like it, i have never played the xbox 360
thank you!

As others have said, there are pros and cons to each of the systems. If you have a nice high definition TV and watch a lot of movies, blu-rays are probably important to you so you should get a PS3, the only system that has a blu-ray player. If you have people over all the time that play games together, I would suggest the Wii. I find the Wii to be more of a party system since many of the games function best as multiplayer. The PS3 has the potential to run the best looking games on the market because it is the most powerful. However, I find that many games (i.e. Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty: MW2) look absolutely incredible on the Xbox 360.

The online aspect of the PS3 and Xbox 360 are very different. In my opinion, Xbox Live is way stronger than the Playstation Network. The cartoonish avatar system is easy to use and fun, and the menus are colorful and easy to navigate through. If you are a Netflix user, you are able to watch videos in your instant queue through your PS3 or Xbox 360. However, the PS3 requires you insert a Netflix blu-ray disc whenever you want to watch anything. With the Xbox 360, you are able to switch to Netflix and watch your videos while your game disc is still in the system (which is nice if your system is across the room or in a hard to reach place).

Ultimately I would suggest this:

- If you watch a lot of movies and blu-ray capability is important to you, get the PS3. It has a number of awesome titles, and membership with the Playstation Network is free.

- If you have guests over a lot (especially children) and play games with them, the Wii is the way to go.

- If you want a wide selection of solid titles and a great platform on which to connect and play with friends and family (through Xbox Live), I would go with the Xbox 360. To me, this is the most well-rounded system there is.
