Wii Sales Decline
Is a PS3 a good investment?
With the economic crisis at hand, along with Sony’s financial struggle, should I buy a PlayStation 3? It sure has enough games for me, and I barely like any 360 and Wii games. The only thing I’m worried about is if the PS3 will turn out like the Dreamcast, in terms of sales and company declines. I really want to know if I can buy a PS3 resting assured that the production of it won’t die.
It won’t die. It’s still selling a lot.
It can be a good investment. For one, there’s the obvious fun factor. But also, if you have an HDTV it comes with a fully-functional Blu-Ray Disc player.
A cool thing about this Blu-Ray player is that it’s so easy to update. You see, they have updated ALL Blu-Ray software twice now. There was Blu-Ray 1.0. Then 1.1. Then 2.0. They might continue.
Normal Blu-Ray players couldn’t be updated easily. But the PS3 is designed to update. It was released when 1.0 was out. It has updated for 1.1. And then it updated for 2.0
NOTE: You CAN play a Blu-Ray 2.0 disc on a 1.0 player. It will play the movie. However, some special effects are disabled.
EDIT: Whoops I was wrong about its sales. They’re down. However, it is STILL not going to die.
