Wii Sd Card Format Mac
How do I get my Wii SD card to work again?
I have a Wii SD card made by “SanDisk for Wii” 2GB. My Wii has the newest update and the card was working. I was going to load some pictures on it and it didn’t bring the pics over, so I re-formatted it. When I put it in my Wii, it recognized there is a card, but when I try to open it, it says, “the device in the SD card slot cannot be used”. What is going on? I understand that the card has to be in the format FAT16. Does anybody know what’s going on? If I need to re-format it, how do I re-format my SD card to FAT16 on a mac? Please don’t just tell me to re-format it. If I need to, please tell me how on a mac. Thank you!
This is a pretty unique problem, so I suggest you call Nintendo’s Consumer Service at 1-800-255-3700.
Try the following troubleshooting:
1) Go back to the Wii menu, and turn the power OFF on the Wii console.
2) Try the card in another compatible device, such as a digital camera or cell phone.
3) If it works in another device, re-insert the card into the SD Card slot on the Wii console and power the console back ON.
4) Go back into the SD Card Menu.
If the steps above do not help, try another SD Card (look for someone you can borrow one from, if you don’t want to buy another one) . If you receive this error with more than one SD Card, your Wii console may need to be repaired. Please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.
