Does Wii Boxing cheat?

I used to love playing boxing on Wii Sports (the free cd). However, I’m getting a suspicious feeling that the computer cheats! Why is it that while I’m throwing punches, I’m suddenly frozen for a period of 5-10 seconds where my player can’t move or defend myself? During this short period, the computer can hit me, causing my life to go down. Why does it it freeze like this and how can I stop it from happening?

This only started happening as I started getting better at the game, where my skill level is now at 800 points. It seems that as I get more points (1000+) I start losing again because my player is constantly being frozen!

no. Sometimes the nunchusk is inaccurate, I face this problem, but it may be the wii proc is too slow to detect your punches… Or it might not be cheating. It simply is like a handicap mode or something.
