Super Mario Galaxy 2 Hands On!
Harder
If I compare Super Mario Galaxy 2 with Super Mario Galaxy 1 this is much harder. I really had to try hard to not have the game over screen over and over again. The controls are the same as the controls in the first mario galaxy game.
Yoshi’s back
When we freed Yoshi in one of the playable levels from its egg, it was really obvious that this fine green companion comes to his spot in this 3D Mario world. He will not only make the gameplay a lot smoother, it also offers convenient features that will give Galaxy 2 the necessary renewal.
Pressing the B button, Yoshi sticks his tongue out and it is possible to swing over chasms, to eat enemies in exchange for coins and find fruits for the necessary power-ups. So we could by eating fruit Flotacious Blimp fly in the air, because Yoshi changes into a big blue balloon and the Hot Pepper Dash Stepping made sure he crashed at top speed through the level.
The control of Yoshi is surprisingly flexible makes it very fun. You’ll quickly wonder why Nintendo added this big green friend to the earlier game. It is not clear how many levels will be playable Yoshi, but we hope that it is surely more than the few levels where we met him. But how much fun we had with Yoshi, Mario also managed a positive surprise us with some great new power-ups.
