Removing deleting Wii Homebrew Channel Hack?

It is clear my Homebrew Channel also delete any information from my Wii will never be hacked? Or do I have to use Hack Remover? (What I can not do because I have already deleted the Homebrew Channel)? I ask because since I updated my version of firmware Wii to 4.0u I get a message telling me to do another update every time I try to play any game. I can not play any of my games without first conducting This update of stupid, but if I do, according to the message, could "renedo this or any other future game inoperable" if it detects any unwauthorized software on my console. So, is it safe to update since I've already deleted the Homebrew Channel? How I can know if "unhackable ?

Well if I had the Homebrew Channel, why not use the backup manager or Rain of stars to get around the update without having to remove homebrew. I do not know the top of my head, let me see if I can find out.
