My Wii has a broken gamecube controller slot, where can I get it fixed?

I bought a Wii from an outlet store on EBay and in the description it listed that it was missing the controller flap cover and the memory card flap cover. I was ok with that, they are easily replace, only a dollar in fact. But what they didn’t say was that the second plug in for a gamecube controller was bent and smashed in beyond usability. Now, my dilemma is that it arrived while I was away and they have a 7 day policy which I missed the deadline for. That’s my fault. Does anybody know of a reliable place where I could get this fixed? Maybe even a guess at the price?

Thanks much for your help!

I couldn’t guess at the price, but I’m assuming that Nintendo may be your only option. They have a great customer service department, perhaps they would be helpful on the phone.

If you’re handy, I suppose you could buy a non-working GameCube on eBay and switch out the port yourself. I’m not sure if that would be easy or not, but I couldn’t imagine it would be too complicated, and I imagine they are the same part.

But that’s a lot of assuming and imagining on my part.
