Wii Usb Ethernet Adapter

usb wireless or lan adapter for wii?
i need to get something for my wii for the internet.
i have the lan/ethernet cable in my comptuer but the router is upstairs, and i’ve tried and tried and i’ve changed the settings on 192.168.1.1 and NOTHING works, so i’m wondering if the lan adapter or the usb thing is better? like does the usb just automatically work or do i have to change some settings on the router?? please help
yes its a linksys by cisco and its model # wrt300n. the router is upstairs. my computer and wii are in the same room. so i’ll probl yget a lan adapter
For starters the only place you could find a router is on Amazon or Ebay, or even the friendly neughborhood pwn or thrift shop. Nintendo stopped making and/or selling the Nintendo USB Connector in November of 2007- almost a year ago. The reason why they did this is because of the router had too many bugs and corrupted easily. Just a word of reckoning, don’t buy it. I had one- but chucked it out a window. Just don’t.
Now to answer your question:
The Nintendo USB Connecter hooks up to a computer with BROABAND OR MABE DSL Internet, so no router or nothing for the Wii is needed. However, unlike acsessing and acsess point like a regular router, you need to do a special option on your Wii (it’s in the internet options, so don’t worry). After that, your set (after doing some extra things-please read the mannual for more details). In other words, your router becomes useless.
Same thing for a LAN adapter, ONLY the Wii and the Computer might need to be in the same room. I don’t really recomend this either.
Advice:
Im curious, is your router a Linksys Router by Cisco? Thats the one I use, and it is very easy to set up. They tell you everything on screen. IF you do, then you might just find a Nintendo USB Adapter or whatever the crap you call it theese days.
Thank You
