The company name is correctly written as Hagström with an umlaut above the "o" but once Hagstrom guitars hit the English speaking market, the name was changed to include only letters with accents.
Hagstrom electric guitars solid body have occurred since 1958. The company had been producing since 1932 accordions and guitars that were a significant deviation Hagstrom of its normal. Hagstrom guitars have developed a cult of people around the world who have fallen in love with the instrument highly distinctive. Since 2006, fans gather each year for the Festival Älvdalen Hagström in Sweden during the first week of June and the sharing of stories of the guitar and play some music – Hagstrom guitars, for course.
