Wii Zelda 2010

Wii Softmod Guide For 2010
As Nintendo continues to create patches for the Wii console menu, the application of a Wii softmod is a little more complicated. You were once able to use the Zelda Twilight firmware mod to prevent the console via a hacked save game, but that does not work.
Now there is a new trick called Bannerbomb mod. This works from any version of the menu system, as long as you have the latest version of Bannerbomb. You can get this information from your website, but note that the original version of Bannerbomb is not compatible with 4.2.
Basically what this trick is to use a malformed banner to hang the boot code and run the boot.dol Wii placed in the root of the SD card.
To apply for a Wii softmod 2010, requires:
- An SD card, FAT16 or FAT32
- A card reader for PC
- Bannerbomb data on your new card
- Homebrew, and the installer HackMii
And then you're ready to go. The process is simply inserting the SD card into your Wii console, then turn and after a few installation steps of a few.
However it should be noted that using this strategy leaves little room for error, especially if you have never modded your Wii using Wii softmods. Although you probably can not do permanent damage to your system, you can make changes to the firmware that will make your Wii 'brick' or unusable.
When you have your newly formatted card data Bannerbomb then have to run the file boot.dol in the root menu. You can do this by selecting the data management screen in the boot of your Wii.
