Valve’s Pre-E3 Shinanigans

Holy smokes people,it’s been a hell of a few weeks as more and more details are leakedand games are announced to be shown at this year’s E3 gaming expo. And to help you catch up with that bacon flavored gaming goodness weare summing it up right here:

Valve has two big projects booming in the news, half-life fans can safely rejoice while portal fans should grab their torches and pitchforks. Valve canceled its E3 portal 2 event as many know but it promised us that there would be an even more spectacular announcement by them that same night. Valve dropped a further bombshell today saying they have pushed portal 2 from it’s holiday 2010 release date into the spring 2011 quarter. Aperture science had the following press release posted to the valve website: “even though Portal 2 will arrive slightly later than planned, all life on earth won’t instantaneously stop as every molecule in your body explodes at the speed of light, which is what would happen should a rip ever appear in the fabric of Valve Time.” Speaking of rips in time, people wearing combine overwatch suits were spotted all along LA this morning, could Valve’s big baby Halflife 2 finally get its third segment? Only time will tell.

Square-enix and Kingdom Hearts fans can rejoice as the newly redone kingdom hearts title: Re:Coded was announced and confirmed today. To clarify, thisgame was released on the mobile platform in Japan earlier last yearand fills the gap between Kingdom Hearts 2 and will explain why thereis a need for Kingdom Hearts 3. Players will revisit the events ofSora’s life as a Digital Sora created by the King to find out acryptic message at the end of Jiminy’s Journal. This title will be DS exclusive and contain more multiplayer. This will be the last of the trilogy of games getting us ready for number 3 which include Re:Coded, Birth by Sleep, And of course 365/2 Days. But that’s not all my friends, Square has been busy on a new project as well. This new outing entitled X Nexras was leaked but a mere few days ago, the only details floating around the internet is that this will be a stark contrast to all their previous games, I can only imagine how so.

PROJECT NEXRAS PRE-E3 VIDEO LEAK

Last but not least we have sequels galore; DJ hero 2 was announced with a totally revamped versus mode and about 70+ mixes with the likes of Lady Gagatossed in there as well. Gamers can look forward to a new Scribblenauts which promises to fill the void left by the original sunmet promises. Nintendo confirms we will hear new details about its exciting new Zelda wii title as well. The big three head into this expo with guns loaded and ready to blaze, and i am sure by next Wednesday we will all know who is the new king of gaming.
